The Neuralyzer

Will Smith “So you just flash that thing, it erases her memory and you just make up a new one.”
Tommy Lee Jones “standard issue neuralyzer.”

The neuralyzer is a device used by the agents in the movie Men in Black.  The device shoots a beam of light at the target and erases the set amount of memory, by who shoots it.  It has the power to erase the memory of the person who it is being aimed at. After whoever the neuralyzer was aimed at got the flash and their memory erased, the shooter could replace the amount of memory they took away with a new memory.  I think this device is very handy.  If you’re ever in an awkward situation, or something embarrassing happens to you; with the flash of a button you could erase that memory from the people around you.  I think this device could be somewhat feasible.  It could maybe shoot a beam of light, that knocks the person out and they forget what happens, but I do not think that someone could set a new memory after the fact.  I think, if anything, it could be used by a secret agent trying to erase the memory of someone who found out top secret information.  Our group picked this device, because of our liking towards the movie and how cool it would be to have this device.  It’s like you could do anything with no consequence, because no one could see you.
