What is plasma?

Can Plasma be molded into a blade that can go through human flesh?

Is a plasma sword a practical weapon? (only close quarters)

Plasma, put broadly, is one of the four fundamental states of matter. Any sort of ionized gas with charged particles is referred to as plasma. Also, most of the sun consists of plasma so it can be determined that the state of matter is extremely hot. But a sword as hot as the sun would be lethal to anybody within a large vicinity of the weapon. Luckily, not all plasma is that hot. For instance, neon lights contain plasma, yet they are not nearly as hot as the sun. This means that the temperature range for plasma is huge, and can be manipulated to an ideal temperature for a very lethal weapon. A blade which contains such intense and extreme heat cauterizes the target, whatever it may be, immediately on impact, proving to be very efficient, and equally as lethal. One might ask, how can such energy be harnessed and crafted into a blade? The answer is quite simple yet incredibly advanced. The energy sword’s shape is the result of a magnetic field which encases the ionized gas particles that make the sword so hot and sharp. As for the pragmatism of the weapon, the energy sword can be used to cut through any surface that one chooses. Whether the target is a hard metal surface, or a large foe with thick, heavy-duty armor, the sword can pierce through it with ease. The energy sword may not be the best choice in a long range sniper showdown, but it will certainly prove itself in any sort of close combat.
